It is staffed by a small team of permanent activity personnel to aid recognition whilst being supported by fully qualified care staff.

There is a garden with lawn space, planted borders, pots and veg bed, herb and sensory border, potting shed and small chicken house and run for full time residents, bantams Millie Grace & Tiny.

Our carers

We offer a free taster day so that you may come along and sample what we have to offer but first we will spend a little time getting to know you and your loved ones so that we may tailor our care and activities to suit their abilities, these might include past hobbies or interests that have diminished in recent times or maybe something new that they would like to have tried but never had the opportunity
Our staff work hard to ensure all of our service user needs are met in order for them to enjoy a happy, healthy and fulfilled time at The Garden Room and continually strive to create and maintain a positive, friendly and inclusive environment for everyone.
Independence and dignity are extremely important to us at The Garden Room and whilst we are here to support the service user we continually encourage everyone to be as independent as they are able ensuring a sense of achievement and well being.

We provide a nutritious, home cooked meal everyday prepared by one of our in house cooks who are fully trained in allergens and dietary requirements such as diabetes and coeliac disorders etc.

Respite, when you need it

Activities

The Garden Room provides a stimulating and fulfilling activity schedule, supporting hobbies and interests we employ three activity coordinator’s who tailor activities to the service user’s wishes anything from pub outings, walks, bowling, gardening, wood-working workshops, golf, cookery, music sessions, pet therapy, gentle exercise sessions, relaxation and pamper sessions, reminiscence therapy right through to pottery, painting, arts and crafts, jewellry making or just watching a film.
If activities are not what you are looking for and you prefer the quiet life you can always sit, read a book or the papers, enjoy the garden or just take advantage of the pleasant company and have a chat.
We have recently purchased our own mini bus to enable trips such as boat trips, country walks, animal parks, fruit picking, driving range etc.. The advantage of our own transport is that it enables us to be spontaneous and take advantage of a sunny day with a trip to the woods, for lunch or an ice cream.
